Assistant Regional Property Manager - MSC
Charlottesville, VA - Full-Time Position
located at the Main Office
Essential Job Functions for this position include:
To assist in the development and monitoring of company policy and procedures
Assist in training and development of Property Managers
Shared responsibility in maintaining the physical asset and performance of properties
Assist Regional Property Manager and other supervisors with projects and tasks
Direct supervision of assigned properties
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Extensive financial review of property Income Statements
Research expenses using general ledger reports, and other resources as needed
Assist in the creation of budgets, 5-year plans and long term plans and work within guidelines approved by Officers of MSC
Assist in new construction or renovation projects
Assist in the supervision of quarterly property inspections and reports
Assist in the supervision of interior inspections
Review forms, notices and other correspondence
Assist in Bad Debt procedures to include monthly and quarterly reporting to ensure that all accounts are collected in the most efficient manner
Coordinate large projects for multiple communities
Review financial reports prepared by Property Managers
On-call rotation, some weekend work during summer
In the absence of the Regional Property Manager, complete regional tasks including, but not limited to payroll approval, invoice approval, time off/vacation requests and weekly/monthly report review
Minimum Job Requirements:
Knowledge of apartment management normally acquired by two years of college or comparable work experience
At least two years work experience in the Property Management field
Ability to generate and author reports and business correspondence
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, staff members and the general public
Ability to work as a team player and enjoy a busy, fast-paced work environment
Ability to work as a team leader
Ability to work in Excel, create spreadsheets and proof the work of others
Ability to work in Word, Outlook and Property Management software
Ability to proof the work of others for accuracy
Ability to prepare accurate and detail oriented reports
Has clear understanding of Financial Statements and the ability to accurately report on variances, savings and overages
Real Estate license required or must be obtained within 1st year. CAM and/or CPM a plus
Driver's license and personal vehicle required

Property Manager - MSC
Charlottesville, VA - Full-Time Position
This position is with Crozet Meadows/Meadowlands
Essential Job Functions for this position include:
Management of project based HUD subsidized and VHDA-Tax Credit community restricted to elderly and handicapped
Lease up of new units currently under construction
Insure compliance with Fair Housing
Initial and annual certifications of residents to insure compliance with HUD/VHDA regulations
Quarterly property inspections
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Interact with residents
Respond to repair requests and schedule maintenance
Manager turnover procedures
Minimum Job Requirements:
Knowledge of apartment management normally acquired by 2 years of college or comparable work experience
Exposure to HUD and VHDA housing regulations
Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and Property Management Software
VA Real Estate Salesperson license a plus

Turnover Inspector - MSC
Charlottesville, VA - Part-Time Position
Essential Job Functions for this position include:
Successfully organize the turnover of apartments to ensure residents receive a well prepared apartment
Prepare move out packets
Enter work orders for subcontractors and maintenance
Check daily each unit in turn to ensure everything is on schedule
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Weekend work
Follow turnover manual
All other duties as assigned by property manager with approval
Must have own transportation and cell phone
Must work until mid August
Minimum Job Requirements:
High School Diploma
Prior experience in student housing a plus
Ability to work in Microsoft Word and Excel

Turnover Technician - MSC
Charlottesville, VA - Part-Time Position
Seasonal- Mid May through August
Essential Job Functions for this position include:
Basic maintenance of apartments including spackling, patching, sanding, minor repairs to doors, etc.
Minor repairs and help replacing common apartment appliances
Quick and efficient turnover of apartments
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct move out inspections
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Job Requirements:
High School Diploma
Experience in student housing or maintenance/construction a plus
Carpentry, light plumbing, general maintenance skills
Organized and dependable
Valid Driver's license
